history
Created in Ancenis in 1955, the Vignerons de la Noelle are a group of producers belonging to the Alliance Group. The vineyard represents an area of 700 hectares. Mainly in A.O.C., the plots are 75% in Nantais and 25% in Anjou with a proportion of 65% for whites, 17% for reds, 15% for rosés and 3% for fine bubbles or sweet wines.
Vineyard
Hugues Brochard is the 4th generation of winegrowers on the estate. At the beginning of 2000s, The Nantes vineyard recognizes a new vintage in Muscadet Appellation : the "cru Clisson" or "la petite Venise". The vineyard stretches on the village of Maisdon sur Sèvre, on South-facing slopes of the Sèvre and Maine river. The clay soil with pebble come from granite mothe rock give to the wine a superb minerality. Vines : 40 years old - 2.5 acres.
Winemaking
Manual harvest of perfectly ripe grapes . A traditional vinfication . Ageing on lees for at least 2 years to enhance the quality .
Tasting notes
A golden gold hue .A complex nose with citrus aromas , yellow fleshy fruits (greenage), brioche and empyreumatic notes (smoked). A nice minerality. A well-balanced tasting, fleshy mid-palate and salty finish.
Food pairing
Serve it at 54°- 58 ° F . It will be perfect with fishes wtih sauce or grillade, scallops, white meat or fine cheese.
