Christophe Sornay is the fifth generation to manage his family's estate in the commune of Villié-Morgon, where the Sornay family has maintained a robust reputation since assuming control of the Domaine in 2007. The family's winemaking tradition dates back generations, with Christophe's great-great-grandfather having worked as a cooper. The Domaine spans 12 hectares and is deeply rooted in tradition. Committed to environmental stewardship, Christophe Sornay practices sustainable viticulture by weeding the vineyards manually and enriching the soil with mulched branches to enhance humus content. His vinification approach aligns with the Morgon Cru philosophy: "The fruit of a Beaujolais, the charm of a Bourgogne," capturing the essence of both regions in his wines.
